billing and online transaction processing. The system includes
all of the tools and services you'll need to create, manage and
promote your online business.
Email: You'll also receive
secure, fast, and easy to use Web Mail feature which lets you choose
and setup up to 100 email addresses that match your business web
address, (such as info@yourbusiness.com) In addition to this, all
clients get POP mail support, which allows you to check your
Web Mail account with regular email software instead of through a
browser, and to receive email for more than one account in a central
location.

Are there any system requirements for using the Microhost
system?
No. However, you will need connection and access to the Internet
via a web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator. The Microhost system is "browser-based" which means that
you can easily make changes, promote and manage your site online. The
system will receive, send out and store messages and responses from
any online forms that are placed on your site. We do recommend that
you have an email address for any customers who may wish to contact
you.

Do I need to give you my email
address and password in order to sign up?
Yes. We need this information for the
following reasons;
All users need an email address in order to "log in" to
the Host-Manager Console in order to work on their web site. Because
everyone has a unique email address, it minimizes the possibility of
our clients choosing the same one.
We may also need to communicate with you from time to time, for
reasons such as; important developments that may affect the way you
use the system.
As for the "password", we require
that everyone creates a password to use in conjunction with
their email address as an additional level of security when logging in
to the Microhost system. This helps protect you and will keep your web
site and personal information safe.

Do I need to know HTML?
No. The Microhost system is a fully
integrated tool that will build sophisticated web accounts, e-commerce
stores, SQL databases,
secure B2B areas, send email newsletters, and
more — all without knowing HTML, FTP, design or computer programming.
The system has a built in "EZ Text Editor" which is as easy as
working on a Microsoft Word document.
If you DO know HTML, you can use your
knowledge to create more advanced features within your site - we've
designed our service to accommodate a wide range of users, regardless
of your level of experience.

Can
the pages I create with Microhost be used on another web site?
Yes and No. You own the content and
pictures you use for your Microhost site and are free to save and
reuse these with any other web site, however the Microhost pages
themselves are dynamically generated by our proprietary service.
Therefore, Microhost pages cannot be used on a non-Microhost web site.
Any HTML pages you add to your site can be saved on your hard drive
and hosted elsewhere.

Can I use my own domain
name?
Yes, you can use your own web
address. When you first set up your site, it will be posted to a
Microhost web address (for example: www.Microhost.com/yourname). This
reserves space for your site on our servers and identifies your
business within our system. You can transfer the site to your own web
address at any time. If you don't already own a domain name, you can
register one through us.
We've partnered with Enom, a leading
domain name name registrar, for top level domain names (.com, .net,
.org, .biz and .edu). The current cost is $15 for one year. There is
no additional cost to you to transfer your site.

Can I link my
site with another site?
Yes. To do this, simply add the links
from your Microhost site to your other site and vice versa. When both
sites link to each other, visitors can click back and forth between
your two web sites, almost as if they were one.

Can I use FrontPage to
create pages for my site?
Yes! You can create web pages for your
site with Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Use and FTP client to access your
directories.

do I make changes to my site?
It's a snap! You will
have access to your personal Manger Console with a login and password.
From your manager console you will be able to easily add and make
changes to your pages, pictures, and change the overall site design

How
much storage space do I get with my web site?
You receive 100MB of storage space
for pages and graphics, which well exceeds most business needs. To get
an idea of just how much disk space you get; 50 MB is equivalent to
about 1000 average web pages! If more space is needed you can upgrade
your plan in order to accommodate your specific needs.

How
much bandwidth/traffic do I get with my web site?
You are allowed up to 15GB of
bandwidth per month on your site. The daily data transfer allowances
are set high enough to accommodate usage without having to exceed the
limit.

What do I need in order
to become a Private Label Reseller?
The Microhost system makes it easy!
You can accept signups in offline mode, meaning you bill your
customers however you want. Or, you can use your PayPal account to
accept signups. Or you can use your own merchant account for 100%
hands free billing (All that is required is an Authorize.net compatible merchant account.)
This allows Private Label billing and communication to your customers
on your behalf.

Do you offer an online Merchant Account? If so, how much
will it cost me?
Yes, you will need to complete our
online application and upon approval, you'll pay $10/mo. for the
gateway and statement fee and 2.29% discount rate for Visa/Mastercard
transactions and .30 for each transaction ($25/mo. minimum). To be
eligible for an online merchant account, you'll need a U.S. business

How secure is the
Microhost system?
The Microhost system uses Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) which is software to protect your transactions,
your data, and your customers' data from unauthorized third parties.
Currently Microhost uses SSL to encrypt all of your and your
customers' personal information, including credit card numbers, names,
and addresses, as they're transmitted over the Internet. Microhost is part of the Verisign Internet Trust Services.

How will I keep in
contact with the people who visit my site?
There are many ways to stay in touch
with your site visitors and customers with the Microhost system. When
a customer purchases items or services from your web site, they'll be
asked if they'd like to register for your mailing list and then be
added to your customer database automatically. You can also post a
newsletter sign-up box, online survey, contact us form, feedback form
on any or all of the pages of your web site. Once your visitors have
willingly joined your mailing list, you can communicate with them by
creating Newsletters or Announcements via the Email List Management
tool inside your Host-Manager Console.
Remember, that it is illegal to send
mass emails without the recipients' permission and is prohibited by
Microhost's user agreement.

How reliable is
Microhost? Will my site always be available to my customers?
We make sure that our site and our
clients' are always available 99.9 percent of the time. There are
times that we may make our service temporarily unavailable while we
add new features or perform routine maintenance, however, we plan
these down times during off-peak hours.
Our service guarantee states that if
we don't keep your site up and running (except for scheduled
maintenance and outages beyond our control), we'll credit your account
a portion of your monthly fees.
